When Does March Madness Start?
March Madness starts on March 19 with the First Four round, which features four play-in games to determine the final four spots in the field of 64 teams.
After that, the Round of 64 kicks off on March 21. With 32 games in 48 hours, the Round of 64 features an incredible amount of action and usually multiple upsets.
Every March Madness game will have a moneyline, spread and total bet. It may also have a variety of prop bets if you’re in a state where college props are legal.
Prior to the tournament, Fanatics lets you place futures bets on markets like which teams will make the Final Four and which team will win the National Championship for bettors who want to get a head start on their March Madness betting.
Where Can I Use Fanatics Sportsbook?
Fanatics is legal in 17 states: Colorado, Connecticut, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.
To use Fanatics Sportsbook, you have to be located in a state where it’s available and over the legal betting age in that state (usually 21). You do not need to be a resident of the state.
Like all licensed sportsbooks, Fanatics uses state-of-the-art technology to verify your location. If you try to use Fanatics in a state where it doesn’t operate or sports betting isn’t legal, you won’t be able to access it.
When you sign up for Fanatics, the app will verify your age and identity by confirming your birthday and the last four digits of your social security number. If you’re under your state’s legal betting age, you won’t be able to register.
Finally, some states restrict betting on certain elements of college sports such as prop bets, which may prevent you from wagering on specific teams or markets.
