Nikola Jokic (+180)
Already a three-time MVP, the Joker is the odds-on favorite to win his fourth MVP thanks to a strong start to the season.
While the Denver Nuggets aren’t playing as well as they have in years prior, Jokic is averaging a triple-double (30.1 points per game, 13.0 rebounds, 10.4 assists) for the first time in his career. Only two players in NBA history have averaged a triple-double for an entire season (Oscar Robertson and Russell Westbrook).

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (+340)
Perhaps the most consistent player in the NBA, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 29.8 points per game, 5.5 rebounds and 6.5 assists: near-identical to the numbers he had last season when he finished as the MVP runner-up.
His all-around excellence has helped lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference.
SGA can score at every level, but might have to reach another level to win MVP.
Jayson Tatum (+550)
Tatum’s built on the Boston Celtics’ championship last season by averaging 28.4 points per game, 8.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists, all of which are career-highs or near them.
Tatum’s turning into one of the NBA’s most well-rounded stars and plays for one of the league’s best teams, which is why his odds are so short.

Giannis Antetokounmpo (+650)
While the Milwaukee Bucks had a slow start to the season, Antetokounmpo has vaulted them back into the playoff picture thanks to his incredible production (32.7 PPG, 11.7 RPG and 6.7 APG).
Giannis leads the NBA in scoring and is shooting 61.7% from the field. If he can stay hot and the Bucks keep winning, Antetokounmpo should find himself in the midst of the MVP conversation.
Who is the Favorite to Win the 2024-25 MVP NBA?
ANikola Jokic is leader amongst the NBA MVP favorites, though he’s one of four different players who have odds under +1000. Jokic has won three MVPs already in his career and is a walking triple-double.
That said, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jayson Tatum and Giannis Antetokounmpo also have strong MVP cases.
Gilgeous-Alexander is a smooth scorer who is one of the most consistent players in the NBA, Tatum is a three-level scorer who’s shooting like Stephen Curry, and Antetokounmpo is a wrecking ball who’s scoring at will. And that’s not even including stars like Curry, Kevin Durant or Luka Doncic.
