Super Bowl 58 Odds and Preview: Kansas City Chiefs vs. San Francisco 49ers

This year’s Super Bowl matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers features plenty of storylines.

These teams faced off four years ago in Super Bowl LIV, with the Chiefs picking up a 31-20 win over the 49ers thanks to a late-game comeback by Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes.

The Chiefs entered the season as favorites to win again after winning the Super Bowl last year, but their futures odds dipped in the middle of the season after they suffered some close losses. However, they found their footing at the end of the season and have rattled off five straight wins, including a 17-10 victory over the No. 1 seed Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game.

The 49ers enter the Big Game after going 12-5 and earning the No. 1 seed in the NFC during the regular season. Led by second-year quarterback Brock Purdy (who took the 49ers to the NFC Championship Game last season), San Francisco has a dynamic offense loaded with playmakers along with a strong defense.

The 49ers are slight 1.5-point favorites on the spread at Caesars Sportsbook, while the Chiefs are +100 underdogs on the moneyline. The Over/Under is set at 47 – one of the lower totals in recent Super Bowl memory
