The Las Vegas Raiders and Tennessee Titans both enter this matchup 0-2 but took very different routes to get there.

Las Vegas lost to a very talented Los Angeles Chargers team in Week 1 before blowing a 20-0 halftime lead to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, suffering their biggest blown lead in franchise history.

Meanwhile, Tennessee lost by one point to a mediocre New York Giants team at home in Week 1 before getting eviscerated by the Buffalo Bills in a 41-7 rout on Monday Night Football.

Does that mean we should automatically bet on the Raiders? Or is there a better way to bet this matchup?

There are many different ways to bet on this NFL game, and we’re here to give you the best options.

Spread, Moneyline, Total: Raiders vs. Titans

While the Raiders have talent, there are issues with their roster construction. The offensive line has holes while the secondary lacks a true playmaker, ranking just 16th in Pro Football Focus’ coverage grades so far.

The Titans are in a much worse position, however. Tennessee is the worst team in the NFL per Football Outsiders’ DVOA metrics, ranking 31st in Expected Points Added per play on offense and 27th in Expected Points Added per play allowed on defense.

We’re particularly worried about two areas of the Titans’ roster ahead of this matchup.

First, Tennessee ranks 31st in DVOA allowed against No. 1 wide receivers, and Las Vegas has arguably the league’s best wideout in Davante Adams. Adams and Derek Carr should be able to carve up their secondary.

Second, the Titans are dead last in PFF’s pass block grades. The Raiders have two elite pass rushers in Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones, so Ryan Tannehill will likely be under duress all afternoon.

Las Vegas has played two talented teams and was competitive in both games, so the Raiders are due for a win against an inferior opponent. We’ll happily bet Las Vegas to cover the spread, as they only need to win by a field goal.

Our Pick: Las Vegas Raiders -2.5 (-110) at BetMGM Sportsbook

Player Prop Bets: Raiders vs. Titans

We expect Carr to tear apart Tennesee’s horrendous secondary. Las Vegas has one of the best receiving corps in the NFL between Adams, Hunter Renfrow and Darren Waller.

We also believe the Raiders should focus on the passing game with their mediocre offensive line. Head coach Josh McDaniels will focus on throwing the football and Carr will have many opportunities to eclipse his attempt total.

Carr had over 36 attempts in both Weeks 1 and 2, and we believe he’ll do it again.

Our Same-Game Parlay

Our Raiders vs. Titans same-game parlay has +600 odds at BetMGM Sportsbook:

  • Las Vegas Raiders -6.5 Alternate Spread
  • Derek Carr 225+ Passing Yards
  • Davante Adams 8+ Receptions

It’s reasonable to expect Carr will pass for at least 225 yards in any week. He has eclipsed this number in 26 of his last 36 starts (72%), including both games to start the year. He should easily surpass this number again thanks to the Titans’ porous defense.

We’re making a bigger bet on Adams, who failed to reach this number in Week 2 against Arizona but has a great matchup against Tennessee’s secondary. Adams tallied 10 catches on 17 targets in Week 1, so expect a big rebound performance for him here.

We feel very comfortable laying an alternate spread on the Raiders behind these two superstars. The Titans do not have the firepower to match up in this game and will lose by at least a touchdown.

We can cash in big on this plus-money same-game parlay if the contest goes how we expect, earning a $600 profit with a $100 bet.
