In late September 2023, Kentuckians began placing sports wagers on their mobile phones. Kentucky is one of many jurisdictions in the U.S. with legal sports gambling, most of which allow online bets.
Anyone physically present in the Bluegrass State can bet. You do not need to be a Kentucky resident to wager in the state. Kentucky borders six states with online sportsbooks.
The online launch came two weeks after the state opened in-person sports wagering.
