After taking a commanding 3-1 lead in the 2024 World Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers have a chance to finish off the New York Yankees tonight at Yankee Stadium.
While much of the focus was on superstars Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani coming into the series, neither has had much of an impact yet. Judge’s disastrous postseason has continued, as he’s just 2-for-15 with seven strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Ohtani is also 2-for-15 and is dealing with a shoulder injury suffered in Game 2, which may be affecting his performance.
Our favorite World Series betting sites have plenty of prop bets available for both former MVPs, like whether they will hit a home run or the outcome of their first plate appearance. While there are many World Series prop bets to choose from, here are our favorite ones for Ohtani and Judge in Game 5.
Odds are from DraftKings Sportsbook and subject to change.
World Series Game 5: Best Aaron Judge Prop Bets
Aaron Judge Over 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145)
Judge hit the Over on this prop in Game 4, notching his first run and RBI of the series while recording his second hit.
Judge appears close to breaking out after reaching base three times in Game 4, and we like his chances to deliver a big hit in his final home game of 2024. He’s also seeing the ball better with two walks and one strikeout over his last two games combined.
Aaron Judge Under 1.5 Total Bases (-130)
The Under has hit in six straight games for Judge, who only has three hits (all singles) during that time.
The Under is 10-3 in these playoffs for Judge, including 4-0 in the World Series. He hasn’t had a multi-hit game all postseason and hasn’t bashed an extra-base hit since Oct. 17.
World Series Game 5: Best Shohei Ohtani Prop Bets
Shohei Ohtani Under 1.5 Total Bases (-125)
Ohtani’s power may be diminished after suffering a partially dislocated shoulder late in Game 2. If he gets a hit, it will likely only be a single (+120).
He’s hit the Under in three of four games this series, including his last three. He only has one extra-base hit in his last six games and is unlikely to get one against Gerrit Cole, so take the Under here.
Shohei Ohtani Under 2.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-145)
Ohtani has gone under this number in all four World Series games, mostly because he’s failed to drive in a run. He also hasn’t had multiple hits in any games.
Unless Ohtani’s power returns, it’s hard to see him hitting the Over on this line with Cole likely keeping him at bay for most of the game.
